Last week my aunt Gladys transitioned after having lived a long life. When we got the call in St. Louis, the first discussion was who would go to Detroit. Later that day we learned that only three people could be in attendance. Given the current circumstances of the world, ok. The next conversation was to send flowers. Then we learned that the funeral home would not allow any flowers. That one kind of got me.
I found solace in knowing the last time my sister and one of my brothers visited with her, she was given flowers that required two vases. If you care for someone, let them know now. Give them their blooms before they are planted.
