After several months of isolation, and experiencing the same emotions as most, my response to COVID-19 was a YouTube channel, Girlfriend Check-in to reach out to some of my girlfriends to check on them. You will note that at the end, it was changed to Friend Check-in as I wanted to speak with some of my brother friends.
Then - just as quickly as it started, it stopped. Why? It had served its purpose. What was that, you might ask? To let folk know that strong people have moments as well and it's okay to not be ok.
Note to you: Talk about what you are feeling. It's all right. After all, this was/is a world pandemic. If you need external support such as a therapist, now is the time that therapy is one of the sexiest conversations you can have. Do whatever it takes to BE the best version of YOU!
